  1. I think the product I'd most like to try from them is the lip balm - specifically this flavour:
    (coconut lime).
I was happy to see how many good ingredients they had though sad to see they have no unscented options available. most people with MCS react to VOCs regardless of the source - so essential oils and so-called 'natural' scents can be just as triggering of reactions. Before I he3aled tot he point I have now, I wouldn't have been able to be in the same room as anyone who had used any of the products on their site. If they are going to use 'flavour', I'd love to see full disclosure of how their flavours are made. do they use solvents to extract flavour chemicals from organic sources? Are the flavours made in a lab? (my understanding is that this is usually the case when the word 'flavour' is used - otherwise they can legally say 'extract' instead). Flavour - whether 'natural' or artificial, was a huge MCS trigger for me for almost 7 years and I had a very frustrating journey trying to find out just what 'flavour' was and what the differences are between natural and artificial. Most of the info is from the industry and does not disclose actual details. There are more and more products using 'flavour' every year - products that didn't use it previously and tasted perfectly delicious. I have concern that they now use 'flavour' because it allows them to include less of the actual ingredient that provide flavour of their own - thus saving them money.
I know this doesn't apply to True North Organic because it isn't food products... I got off on a bit of a tangential rant! :-) :-)

  2. They list their flavors as certified organic flavors...this is very different from "natural flavor" Check many of the organic packaged foods and you will find even lower quality natural "flavors" in organic food products. I can't be sure where True North gets their certified organic flavors but the only supplier I know of with USDA certified organic flavors is Natures Flavors...And they do not use any chemical solvents whatsoever....I react to solvent extracted essential oils this is why I only promote certified organic essential oils which are steam distilled.

  3. I think I would love one of everything but specifically the True North Organic Orange Lavender Lip Balm 0.14oz!

  4. I like the idea of a lotion stick! nothing messy and perfect for the purse and diaper bag. Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I'm always looking for natural lip balms! thank you!

  6. Hard choice i need a better lip balm, but want the she butter too.

  7. Would love to try the lotion stick for babies and perhaps the lip balm as you can never have enough lip balm!

  8. Anything in lavender would be awesome but I would especially love the body wash or the body lotion. Tough choice as they all sound wonderful. Of course, the dog shampoo would be awesome too! Charlie has allergies and we have been searching for something for him. Maybe I need to say that first because he is our baby. Lord, too many choices!

  9. I am interested in the Lemon Lime Lip Balm AND the Lemon Lime Shower Gel. My daughter has sensitive skin, so these would be great for her. The stuff looks great.

Although the true definition of USDA Certified Organic is getting watered down lately, it is still certainly better than products that are not certified.

    Thanks for sharing the site!

  10. I would love to try any of the Lil' Sprout products!! Wish me luck!
