My Favorite Organic Cosmetics

Honey Bee Holistics Review | Refreshing Summer Soaps and Salves

I just recently had the chance to try some samples of
Honey Bee Holistic products.

Melissa Carr is a stay st home mom living in a small town in Washington State Valley of the Cascade Mountain Range. She personally has allergies and skin sensitives and has developed a line of pure products using organic ingredients.

Melissa has a passion for safe organic products..."Everything I sell is handmade by me and is made with wild-harvested herbs or herbs that I grow on site here on our shared farmland in the valleys of the Cascade Mountains. I will never use any chemicals or preservatives,EVER! Only pure ingredients that are safe for my family and yours! If I wouldn't use it, I won't sell it! My goal is to provide you with fresh made Organic health, beauty and household products that are free of harmful parabens, petroleum derivatives, and chemicals."

I was given samples of four of her products to try and I will start with my absolute favorite!

Honey Bee Mint Soap

Ingredients: Saponified;Organic Olive Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, and Coconut Oil, Organic Fair Trade Shea Butter, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Peppermint Essential Oil, Orgnaic Spearmint Essential Oil, Organic Dried Ground Peppermint Leaves & Organic Spearmint Leaves, Mountain Spring Water.

I Love this soap and it lasts a long time.  I have been using the small sample as a hand soap daily for two weeks now and it hasn't even begun to melt away!  The scent is fresh and soft definitely a mellow spearmint scent rather then the sharp scent of peppermint.  It's simply mouth watering and one of the mildest vegetable oil based soaps I have used.  I find others tend to leave a waxy coating on my skin or make my skin dry but this soap leaves very little residue, smells incredibly fresh and is not at all drying.

Next I tried the Limited Edition Sugar Cookie Soap

Ingredients: Saponified: Organic Palm Kernel Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Olive Oil, Mountain Spring Water, Organic Vanilla Bean Flecks, Organic Raw Sugar, Organic Vanilla Essential Oil.

I honestly thought this would be my favorite but the mint tops this one.  It is a beautiful soap with the same organic moisturizing base and beautiful flecks of vanilla beans.

There are 9 varieties of organic soaps to choose from including two which are limited edition.  Some are sold out so best get your order in soon...She even has a soothing honey oatmeal soap with all organic ingredients, which is difficult to find.

Honey Bee Holistic uses only organic and wildcrafted ingredients and absolutely nothing synthetic.  She has everything from lip products, lotions, soaps, remedies and more.

I was also sent a sample of her Organic Wrinkle Away Eye Cream:

Ingredients: Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Local Organic Beeswax containing Bee Propolis, Organic Evening Primrose Oil, Organic Carrott Seed Essential Oil.

This product has wonderful softening and soothing properties.  The texture is more of a balm/gel than a cream but does not leave a greasy feeling.  A little goes a long way!

There is no distinctive scent, more of a slight sweet honey tone.  Wonderful ingredients in this fantastic product!  And at only $4.50 for 1/2oz or $11.75 for 2oz who could not afford to give this a try?!

The last product sent to me was the Cold Sore Fever Blister Ointment

Ingredients: Organic Beeswax, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Lemon Balm Essential Oil, Organic Calendula Essence, Organic Almond Oil.

I am one of the lucky ones who have escaped cold sores but Zuki gets one from time to time so I am so glad to have this completely organic remedy on hand for the next time he has a breakout.  I honestly hope I never have to review this one as I don't wish for his cold sores to return.   At only $3.00 it's definitely a must-have for the medicine cabinet!

If you want a one-stop shop for a fantastic line of organic handmade personal care products head over to Honey Bee Holistic and place your order.  It's always nicer to support small companies with great family and health values.
