A Healthy Home Cooked Meal In Just 7 Minutes | Faster Than Takeout!

Faster than takeout, quicker than  frozen dinner!
7 Minute Healthy Dinner

One day I was chatting with a friend on the phone and she said she was starving and was going to head to McD’s for something to eat…I told her that I would talk her through a healthy cooked dinner in less time than it would take her to drive to McD’s and back so she was up for the challenge even though she had never really cooked anything before…So we timed it and aside from peeling the potatoes she had a steaming hot chicken dinner, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy with a side medley of veggies in just 7 minutes.

After that every time I called she was was making 7 minute dinner :)

So here is how it’s done:
(serves 2)
First peel and cut into quarters 6 medium organic potatoes
Put them on boil.

In a frying pan add:
1tsp grass fed butter 
1/4 minced organic onion
1 clove of minced garlic
1 tsp sea salt 
Organic cracked pepper. 

Saute onions and garlic until caramelized add a 2 Tbs of water so it don’t completely stick to pan then add a thin cut of meat or large mushroom (this works well with any thin cuts of meat or a large portobello mushroom cap) meat must be no thicker than an inch. put a lid on the pan and cook for 3 minutes.

During that 3 minutes steam 2 cups of your favorite frozen organic veggie medley and drain your potatoes.

Mash potatoes with a tbs of butter and 1/8C organic milk (or soy milk) whisk until creamy.

Turn your meat over… the pan should be well caramelized but not burned and add 3/4 cup of water whisking with a fork to remove all caramel from the pan. In a jam jar add 1 heaping Tbs of flour (organic corn starch for gluten-free) a pinch of savory and 1/8c water…shake shake shake until there are no lumps…swiftly add this to the pan string constantly until gravy has thickened.

Serve and enjoy. :)
