Imoshion Handbags Review | My Opinion Stay Away

To make a long.....long (5 months long) story short, 

I ordered an Imoshion bag and during the first use I was caught in the rain (very common thing that can happen) and the bag leaked purple dye from a lining in the back pocket after becoming damp. I have been emailing with Imoshion for 5 months and they did not resolve the issue, never answered my questions, have been misleading on their Facebook page and then blocked me from their Facebook page and never resolved the issue of the faulty bag.

I am now taking this issue to the BBB….

On Monday May 2 2011 I emailed Imoshion regarding an issue with their handbags.  I wanted an explanation of the issue with the bag…

I very much love this purse and the style but this is not at all practical for those living in damper climates and I am very disappointed.  It would not be worth my while to send it back because I live on an island and Canada Post charges much more for me to send something out than USPS charges to ship something in.

Do you have any suggestions of how this can be fixed?  Attached are the photos after the rain.

Hi Bobby,

That was a quick reply.  Thanks for sending me a new one I appreciate it.  Do you have any suggestions (aside from not getting caught in the rain ;)) to prevent this?  Is there a purple lining in the other styles?  Because our climate is damp maybe another style would be more suitable?

Hi Devan,

Thanks for the response, I was wondering if all the Lilac bags have a purple lining in the back pocket (you can see it through the cotton lining inside the back pocket, if so because of our wet climate it may be best if I choose another style or color...The one I ordered was Color: White   |   SKU #: 7543A 

Maybe one of these would be better:
Desiree (different material) Color: Grey   |   SKU #: 7572B
Magnolia (providing it does not have a purple lining)

It's been over two months since I was told by Bobby that a new bag would be sent and someone would look into the purple dye leaching from the lining...I have not had any results and will be blogging this experience this week if it is not resolved to my satisfaction.

Please send the following:

*An answer as to whether all of the Lilac bags contain this purple lining as I am in a damp climate and a bag should be able to handle a light rain - this one did not.

* If all of the Lilac bags have a purple lining then please send me a replacement bag in something more weather resistant such as the Desiree (different material) Color: Grey   |   SKU #: 7572B

I am terribly disappointed with your customer service and will be sending you a bill along with voicing my concerns publicly if I do not receive a full refund or a tracking number with notification of shipping from you within 24 hours.  What kind of company is this?  I was promised on May 4th to be sent a replacement bag and you've dragged this out so long that I can't even get a refund issued from the place of purchase.  3 months waiting? And 19 emails?..I will wait no longer.

Can you please tell my why you have not sent a replacement bag as promised?  4 months waiting is quite extreme.  You have put me in a position where I am now unable to request a refund from the store which I purchased the bag.  Please send the replacement bag asap.  I have spent the entire summer with no replacement bag.  This is terrible customer service and extremely unfair.

My name is Devan and I work public relations for Imoshion. At the time when you emailed me I was living in Spain. I am now back in LA and will be back in the Imoshion office on Tuesday . I will personally send you a new bag. I don't know why corporate didn't attend to this matter as you have written many times.

If you did not by the handbag from IMOSHIONSTORE.COM but a boutique or store they should have taken care of you right away. I apologize for there neglect and our delay.

Please choose another bag in case we no longer carry stock on the lilac bag.

I had originally requested an explanation of the purple dye, when offered a replacement, I already asked for different style bag, they obviously never reviewed the previous emails as I gave previously them other model numbers of my preferred replacement …Quite frustrating, on September 1st I responded…

I would actually prefer another bag as I do not want the purple dye issue to happen again since I live in a rainy climate.  Please send the Desiree in Grey (SKU #: 7572B) or the Holga in Grey(SKU #: 7577C)

I also wrote to the Facebook page and received a response….They have since "banned" me from their Facebook page so I am unable to retrieve the exact conversation, however my setting allowed their responses to me to be emailed however my posts were deleted so I only have their actual responses…


I wrote to their wall that although I prefer not to post publically, they respond on their FB page and that I feel they do not value their customers and I wished to have a tracking number sent to me…

I explained that I did not receive anything, my email works fine and would like the confirmation and tracking number and was banned form their Facebook Page.

I can now only view their page and have found out they do offer tracking numbers..





So... if they indeed sent “TWO” bags then why would they have not emailed me letting me know and why not send me the tracking numbers???

This has wasted so much of my time…My opinion…Stay away from this company with a 10-friggin’ foot pole!

  1. I really wish I had found this before I purchased a bag I too have been ignored. At this point i just want my money bag. The quality of the bag was horrible. I've purchased better quality bags from target! really really really disappointed. I tried writing a bad review on the imoshion website but they have to approve the review first.

  3. This is not persuading me to not by a bag from this company.... For a few reasons. #1 most/all dark materials bleed. & who walks in the rain with a 100$ handbag.? Yu must have money to blow. I intenially carry cheap handbags in harsh climates (wisconsin) bc Ik they'll get destroyed. #2 bc they did offer yu a replacement or a refund. They did reply. How would they know if the material bleeds.?? He lives in L.A.? Yu want them to stand there & pour water on the bags so yu can have one that doesn't bleed.? Yu bought ONE bag, which is nothing to these ppl. Yor a chronic complainer & from a business standpoint a big waste of time... Yu shoulda got yor money back & moved on.
