Organic Kamut Spaghetti With Mushroom "Meat" Balls | Recipe

This simple meal was so delicious and easy to make.


Since I found this organic kamut pasta, I have switched from the wild rice.  It's soft, not at all starchy and has a wonderful mild flavor.


My new favorite pasta sauce is the Antico roasted garlic & herb...I use this as a base.

1 pkg whole organic button mushrooms
1/2 chopped organic green pepper
1/2 diced organic onion
1 clove of sliced organic garlic
3 tbs organic olive oil
1/2 bottle Antico organic spaghetti sauce
1 tbs organic honey
1/4 cup of organic lactose-free mozzarella(cut in small cubes)
1 Package of organic kamut pasta

Cook pasta as directed on the package in filtered water and drain.


In a saute pan fry the garlic, whole mushrooms, onions and peppers in olive oil.  When lightly cooked, turn the heat on low and add sauce, honey, spices and simmer.  Just before serving, sprinkle sauce with mozzarella and let melt.


Plate the pasta and top with this hearty sauce.
