These Superfit Tap Droms boots sounded perfect, tall, waterproof, sneaker bottom and I got a wicked deal at Sears for them.
Anyway, they weren't too bad looking and the inside was very cozy and soft but I actually like the look and feel of the HH Snowcutter boots better, both pairs of boots had the same friggin' problem.
I am normally a 7 1/2 and the widest part of my calf is 13.5". I bought a size 8 and these boots were super tight in the calf even with the laces removed and the zipper was terribly stiff. The foot bed fit perfectly and was comfortable with just light socks, so they run small.
I took a video showing the stupid flap on the gusset bunching at the ankle:
Hmm... Something gone amiss with the sound/video but you get the point.
Is there anyone out there who can make a decent pair of waterproof, comfortable, fashionable, tall boots with a hiking/sneaker sole??? Anyone???
