How To Make All Natural Organic Mascara | Only Three Simple Safe Ingredients!

I haven't used mascara in more than 10 years so I decided to try my hand at making a basic non-toxic organic mascara.

I have to say while it feels a little greasy at first it dries well for layering, conditions the lashes and actually stains them a little which is good if you have a few light lashes.

I researched the ingredients and all should be eye safe.  Activated charcoal can be used on the eyes to draw out infections and debris.  Beeswax and coconut oil are also safe ingredients. You can find the empty vials here and caps here. Visit Mountain Rose herbs or the Bulk Herb Store where you can purchase the oil and wax and you can purchase the activated charcoal at the Bulk Herb Store as well.

  1. awesome - thanks for posting this. I have blond eyelashes and have been wanting to make my own mascara for a while. I've been planning to mix a charcoal capsule into a safe-for-me hair gel. I thought that may avoid the grease issue... but I don't think it would be nearly as eye-safe as your recipe! thanks for sharing the recipe and video. :-)
