100% Pure Skincare | Are they 100% Honest?

I'm always hesitant to try new products on my skin but I decided to give it a go and try the 100% pure body lotion set.

They had a special of 4 bottles for $45 CDN which is a pretty good deal. While I was at it I also ordered the green apple shower gel.

Initially I tried ordering on their Canadian site however the order would not go through. Then I used their US site and at the checkout it allowed for a choice of Canadian shipping. I tried contacting them to let them know but nobody responded. Several days later I received a credit back to my PayPal account without any explanation. I had to email them and finally got a response that they needed my assistance to find out what was wrong with their Canadian site.

Finally everything was worked out and I placed the order. A couple of days after I placed the order I received a call from them at 11pm asking me if I wanted to place an order and apologizing for the problems. I explained my order had been placed and I received shipping notification.

All confusion aside, My order arrived from California (the other side of the continent) in just 4 days. I was impressed with this.

I immediately opened the box which was filled with Styrofoam peanuts. And pulled out the five beautiful bottles.

Unlike many organic products, their creams and body wash are packaged in attractive bottles with nice caps and the lotions have nice little pumps.

Being 11 years without using anything scented, I was taken back a little at just how strongly scented they are. A very beautiful fresh fruity-scent but a little strong for my nose. I tried a tiny amount on my hand of the peach and quickly became accustomed to the scent.

After getting past the worry of reaction I went and smelled the others. By far my favorite of the four lotions is the peach. The green apple is sweetly scented, the strawberry and pomegranate are much the same, they all smell like fresh squeezed fruit.

The lotions are very creamy and not greasy at all. The pomegranate was the only one of the four I ordered which had aloe, so be sure to read the ingredients in each one if you have any allergies. For some reason aloe has caused reactions for me in the past. I'll just sell the pomegranate. I think it will be quite some time before I use up the other 3 bottles anyway.

I am extremely pleased with the peach body lotion. After 11 years of unscented products, I can finally smell like an organic juicy peach and not react.

Here are the wonderful ingredients:

But was their advertising correct?

I went ahead a tried washing my hand in the green apple body wash. This didn't work out so well. My knuckles got dry and itchy after the second wash, I decided to double check the ingredients for aloe or something else I could react to and was totally shocked at what was written on the bottle.

The ingredients listed for the body wash on line were:
Ingredients: Organic Apple Juice1, Organic Rose Hydrosol2, Wheatgrass, Organic Apple Flavor3, Organic Lavender Honey1, Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Extracts of Organic Green Apple3, Organic Cherry3, Organic Blueberry3, Organic Blackberry3, Organic Pomegranate3, Organic Raspberry3, Organic Cranberry1 and Organic Pineapple3, Organic Saponified Coconut Oil2, Citric Acid, Witch Hazel, Japanese Honeysuckle Extract

However, the bottle sent to me did not contain organic fruit extracts and contains cocoa betaine for the foaming agent as well as preservatives:

Coco betaine is a synthetic ingredient, nothing like the "organic saponified coconut oil" as listed on their site.
Organic apple juice, Gentle coconut cleanser (coco betaine - an allergen and synthetic ingredient), Organic rose hydrosol, wheatgrass, pure organic fuji apple aroma, organic lavender honey, extracts of green apple, cherry, blueberry, blackberry, pomegranate, raspberry, cranberry and pineapple (all not organic) natural food preservatives sodium benzoate & potassium sorbate (not natural)

I have chemical sensitivities and had no intention of purchasing a body wash with the ingredients listed on this bottle...

This is not acceptable.
Whether or not this company is trustworthy...I don't know. I am awaiting their response to my email demanding an explanation.
Regardless, so far I have tried the peach lotion on my hands and both legs without reaction and it smells just wonderful.
I will post again when they get back to me explaining the shower gel.
